How Is the Treatment Carried Out?
After applying topical anesthesia to the throat for comfort, the flexible endoscope is inserted through the nose.
The larynx and vocal cords are visualized on a high-resolution screen while the patient produces sounds to assess the movement of the cords.
The findings are recorded on video and discussed immediately with the patient.
